Tree Work

A tree is the biggest thing in most yards, and the only part of the landscape that can put a hole in your roof. That's why the work is worth doing carefully, and why we'd rather turn down a job than take one down badly.

Michael Flores runs every crew himself. Nothing gets cut because a salesman promised it would.

Removals

Most of what we take out is bigger than the space it's standing in. There's no room to fell it, so it comes down in pieces — each limb roped, lowered under control, and stacked where it isn't crushing anything.

Tight access over roofs, fences, and power lines is the normal case here, not the exception. We plan the rigging before the truck shows up, and we'd rather spend an extra hour setting lines than explain a hole in your garage.

Stump grinding and haul-away are quoted with the removal, so the number you get is the number for a finished, cleaned-up yard.

Trimming & Pruning

Trees don't heal cuts. They seal them off and grow around them — and whether that happens cleanly comes down to where the cut lands and how much came off at once.

We prune to the branch collar, take what the tree can afford to lose, and work in the right season for the species. Structural pruning on a young tree costs a fraction of removing the same tree in twenty years when a bad union splits.

We don't top trees. Topping produces weak regrowth, opens large wounds that don't close, and shortens the life of whatever it's done to. If someone quoted you topping, that's worth a second opinion.

Anyone Can Buy a Chainsaw

The difference is knowing which cut to make, and whether to make one at all. Michael has spent his working life in trees on this valley's properties, and he does the estimate himself so the person judging your tree is the person responsible for what happens to it. Ask him anything about the plan before the crew starts — that's what the walkthrough is for.
